Discover the amazing underwater world at the New Matsesta Aquarium & Marine Zoo. Opened in August 2005, it features a 1000-square-meter examination area and an amazing collection of marine animals and fishes.

Here you can find the most dangerous and aggressive animals of Africa – Hippo and the Nile crocodile. But the Hippo named Frida is rather friendly and easily trained while the Nile crocodile which represents the ancient reptiles is bad tempered. Among other reptiles are different species of iguanas and pythons.

The warm tropical waters are widely represented by predatory fish — sharks, morays and groupers.

Closer acquaintances with funny angelfish and clownfish fascinate kids and adults alike.

South America is also represented by the famous bloodthirsty Amazon piranhas as well as the giant fresh water arapaima and pirarucu.

And of course visitors can enjoy the Black Sea inhabitants: stingray, various species of sturgeon including European hausen, croaker, catfish, plaice, mullet, conger, mackerel, goatfish, gurnard, sea ruffe, blue perch, anchovy, greasy cod, sea carp, and stone crab.

The Coral Reefs exhibit contains such fishes as walking grouper, white spotted blowfish, clownfish, moray, brown striped catshark, nurse shark, blacktip shark, doctor shrimp, zebra fish, thresher fish and clingfish.

The pride of the exhibits are various specious of seals and visitors' favourite walrus Gavryusha who is trained to play a pipe, send a kiss, dance and even inflate balloons.
