Extreme Park Rosa Khutor, one of the main venues of the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games was open late in 2011 in Krasnaya Polyana ski resort. It is located west of the Rosa Khutor plateau at the height of 1100-1200 m above sea level.
Seating 4,000 in the freestyle skiing area and 6,250 in the snowboarding areas, Extreme Park welcomed its first official competitions in February and March 2012: a stage of Snowboard Cup of Russia and a stage of Snowboard Europe Cup, as well as a stage of Freestyle Cup of Russia and a stage of Freestyle Europe Cup, which was granted the status of a Super-continenta

For the 2014 Winter Olympics it hosted the freestyle skiing events and the snowboarding events.
The multi-venued Olympic Rosa Khutor Extreme Park is living up to its name. The height difference is extreme indeed – 215 m. The slope style course’s huge jumps are intimidating the world’s best. The steep moguls course is challenging all skiers. And the snowboard cross course is keeping the extreme theme.
Now Extreme Park hosts the National Training Center as well as various competitions including moguls, half-pipe skiing, ski and snowboard slope style, and snowboard parallel slalom.
